Welcome to my site. This site is strictly a professional development aid for a student interested in a career in finance. On this website, you'll find projects I've completed related to the field of finance, experiences I've had in business, as well as personal information about me, and finally, my resume. In the field of finance, networking and selling yourself are super important, and what better way to sell yourself than with a website with your brand on it. Besides the assignments that I'll post of the website for this class, I also want to create a dedicated section for finance related projects, anything from equity research reports, financial models, or anything else that I think would be appealing to potential employers or just industry professionals as a whole. The purpose of doing this as a finance student is to stand out as a candidate for the competitive jobs that I am seeking in the finance industry. Most people wouldn't think of work from a finance student if someone said the words 'Portfolio Website,' which is exactly why I intend to pursue this idea, as another method of selling myself to recruiters and employers. So, in summary, while I haven't worked with Wordpress in the past, I believe my experience with WIX and HTML will allow me to make a seamless transition and provide me a platform to prove to employers that I possess the technical skills they require for the high level positions I am seeking.
