Course/Project Takeaways
As we near the end of the semester it's important to reflect on the last couple of months. In this post, we'll explore my two most memorable experiences in Strategic Presentation this Fall.
Creating a Podcast Episode
Perhaps one of the most memorable projects I've worked on this semester and in college in its entirety thus far is the podcast episode assignment. I started listening to podcasts on my own last year and have always thought of them to be an informative, convenient source of media, so when I found out that we had the opportunity to create our own podcast episode in this class, I was pretty excited. My group and I decided to cover the Embrace Kids Foundation, a non-profit that I am very familiar with because of all the work my fraternity does with the organization. I decided to adopt an interview format for my podcast. I chose to do this style of podcast because, I knew I could create an informative piece of content because I am good friends with the Embrace Kids RU4Kids Chair of my fraternity. So, I asked him if it would be willing to be interview and he said yes. I really appreciated the small favor from him and I had an enjoyable time recording the podcast and interviewing him. While working on this project I also learned how to compile audio files, layer audio, as well as how to fade audio in and out.

Creating a Personal Website
Creating a personal website was another memorable experience for me. I found it to be a good outlet for my creativity, as I don't always get the chance to do so in my finance classes. This experience allowed me to express myself and share my interests and experiences with others. It was satisfying to design and organize the website's layout, choosing the colors, fonts, and images that best represented me. I also enjoyed writing and sharing my thoughts and ideas through blog posts, screen-recorded tutorial videos, and, finally, my final project. Overall, creating a personal website allowed me to connect with others, share my interests and experiences, and express my creativity. It was a fun and rewarding experience.
