This project is the one episode in a podcast series about the Embrace Kids foundation. The Embrace Kids foundation exists to lighten the burden, maintain normalcy and improve the quality of life for families whose children are facing cancer, sickle cell, and other series health challenges.

I think it's important to provide a little bit of context for readers as to how I got to this point, why I am developing a podcast about the Embrace Kids Foundation, and what is this foundation altogether? While you may have somewhat of an idea if you read the description of the podcast or the paragraph at the top of this page, I've delve a little deeper. The Embrace Kids Foundation is a non-profit based out of North Jersey that helps raise money for families whose children have simply been dealt a bad hand in life. These children are faced with a number of cancers and other diseases. Embrace Kids was created to help families during times of uncertainty and to bring a sense of normalcy to the lives of children who are constantly in and out of hospitals. In my 'Strategic Presentation' class, we were tasked with creating a podcast discussing a non-profit and Embrace Kids instantly came to mind. I have worked with Embrace Kids on a number of occasions, from tabling outside of the Chi Psi fraternity house to raise money, or by helping to set up the second largest event of the year, the Gala in the middle of October, held in North Jersey. I am also looking forward of being a part of RUDM, the dance marathon held on Rutgers University's College Avenue campus, each year in the spring.
As previously mentioned, I was tasked with creating a podcast to inform listeners about the foundation, and I thought what better way to do so than by interviewing someone with an immense amount of knowledge about the subject, someone who has worked with Embrace Kids more than anyone else in my fraternity, Harrison Zoltowski. Harrison is the RU4Kids Embrace Kids Chair of our fraternity and has worked with the foundation diligently for the past year. So, I invited Harrison to join me for an episode of the podcast and he agreed to help me. I had my audience in mind when developing questions for Harrison as I knew they would be curious to know what the Embrace Kids foundation was all about, any events that occur near Rutgers, and how they could get involved if they were interested. So, firstly, I asked Harrison why he wanted to get involved with Embrace Kids, and then I asked him about the two kids that Chi Psi partners with, Ryan and Edwin. We then took a 30-second break for the PSA and I continued the interview by asking him what his best experiences with the foundation were and this question lead into a discussion about the aforementioned Rutgers Dance Marathon. I ended the interview by asking him about how people could get involved with such as great cause and he provided a few different channels for listeners. Overall I believe the podcast was successful in raising awareness for Embrace Kids as well as inspiring future contributors.
